▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ MEET THE BAND! ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

SLASHFIC is a local DIY emo(ish) band living in AWESOMETOWN, CA. While they don't have very many recorded songs, they play many shows wherever they can. That being said, they still spend most of the time sitting at diners and talking.

▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ MARCY PEPPER ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ the emotional heart of the band. Lead vocalist and temporary bassist for Slashfic. Her raw, unpolished moxie brings a certain swag to the band that no one else can bring. Her pop hooks are as vulnerable as they are catchy. Feels things very strongly. Doesn’t let go and never showers. Impulsive and unrelenting, this pop punk girlthing will stop at nothing to hoist her and her friends to indie stardom. At night she dreams of Slashfic going on tour. Or getting sucked off by a hot demon girl.

▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ JEN CUNNINGHAM ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Anxious mom friend. Professional multitasker. Rhythm guitarist, co-songwriter, singer, and digital drummer for slashfic. Also does most of the “behind the scenes” work that doesn’t involve playing music; like booking shows and producing their tracks. Using her trusty old laptop, she cleans up Marcy’s rough promising song ideas into bonafide DIY hits. Or, at least she WOULD if she could let herself finish a song! A perfectionist and a control freak, she tends to overextend herself, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. Secretly prefers working at her computer to being onstage.

▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ INEZ PAPRIKA ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Wise cybergoth, seasoned veteran of the DIY scene. Lead guitarist for slashfic. Also a competent drummer. The only classically trained musician in the band. A hired gun for many other DIY bands, but Slashfic is the first one that feels like home. Just a few years older than Marcy and Jen, her unique perspective is the exact thing the band needs to get the other two out of their own heads. Been doing this long enough to appreciate the little things that other people might overlook. Likes music that makes her brain explode. Hopes to one day exclusively play for Slashfic full time.

Chloe LaFleur Aspiring hotshot music journalist and vinyl collector. Chloe appreciates the little things in life: coffee, cigarettes, the smirk of a woman, the look of her own face in the mirror, the shape of her own clothes, and the general way people perceive her. Has now set her sights on the band Slashfic, and their lead singer Marcy Pepper. Knows about Slashfic’s scrapped unreleased debut album, and will not rest until she gets to the bottom of the mystery. Wears cardigans.

Riley Pepper Marcy’s little brother. Video gamer and merch booth boy. Likes doodling and hanging out with his sister’s friends. Introverted by nature, Riley is slowly starting to come out of his shell due to the extroverted world that Marcy’s life lets him be a part of. Wants to go home right now though, probably. Wants to make a shirt design for Slashfic. He's afraid to ask though!
