Starting a DIY band is hard, especially when your band is the only one who knows it exists. Follow emo champion Marcy Pepper as she leads her DIY band SLASHFIC to small hometown glory, while local underground journalist Chloe LaFleur tries to get to the bottom of the question: Why does SLASHFIC have no songs?

SLASHFIC is a comic about having friends and making art. Much like real life, these characters spend most of their time talking about making art than they actually spend making anything. These guys are serious yappers. Pages are released one by one like comic strips in the newspaper (affectionately stylized as SINGLES). Every page is a hit single!

SLASHFIC updates whenever I manage to finish a strip, which takes longer than I'd like it to right now. When I DO have one to share, they're always posted on a Friday. Stay tuned!!!

Anj Capizzi is a gangly androgynous twentysomething who stays up late on the computer and gives out stickers at ska shows. They spend most of their time watching movies and making their friends laugh. Likes to do funny voices and changing the lyrics of songs. They’ve been drawing Marcy and her color-coded friends since 2018, but only started releasing comics about them in 2022. Around that same time they became the art side of the fun/tapey/cute new-tone ska music project Tape Girl (led by Beth Rivera)! And has also done design work for two whole other clients. Wow!
