Starting a DIY band is hard, especially when your friends are the only ones who know it exists. Follow emo frontgirl Marcy Pepper as she leads her DIY band SLASHFIC (Marcy, Jen, Inez) to small hometown glory, while local underground journalist Chloe LaFleur tries to get to the bottom of the question: Why does SLASHFIC have no songs?

Despite their thrilling Friday nights onstage, they spend most of their time nonglamorously dicking around at the local diner, often accompanied by Marcy’s younger brother Riley.

SLASHFIC updates whenever I manage to finish a strip, which takes longer than I'd like it to right now. When I DO have one to share, they're always posted on a Friday. Stay tuned!!!

Anj Capizzi is a gangly androgynous twentysomething who stays up late on the computer and gives out stickers at ska shows. They spend most of their time watching movies and making their friends laugh. Likes to do funny voices. They’ve been drawing Marcy since 2018, and has been doing the visual half of the ska music project Tape Girl (led by Beth Rivera) since 2022! Anj has also done design work for two whole other clients. Wow!
